  • 1 – Wiring Harness (310-122 & 310-120)

  • 1 – Pre-Cut Green Ground Wire
  • 2 – Pre-Cut White Wires

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

1 Review the wiring diagram to ensure you understand the connections.

NOTE: The SmartLink Connect is shipped in the OFF position and should remain OFF until wired and in place.

2 Open the Hunter ACC2 panel and switch off power to the controller using the rocker switch located at the bottom left. Disconnect the modular cable from the housing. Then, remove the panel by pressing the control panel release on the upper right side of the panel assembly.

NOTE: Do not remove the existing ground wire.

3 Unscrew the power board assembly, carefully disconnect the cables and set the assembly aside, avoiding contact with any sensitive electronic components.

4 Find the remote receptacle at the rear of the panel and carefully disconnect it from the remote connector.

INSTALL THE WIRING HARNESS

1 Insert the splitter (PN 310-121) into the remote connector.

2 Attach the remote receptacle to the splitter.

3 Plug the SmartLink Connect Wiring Harness (PN 310-120) into the splitter.

4 Plug the cables back into the power board assembly. Before securing the board back into place with the screws, ensure the wiring harness remains free by guiding it to the left side of the ground terminal and hangs below. You are now ready to wire the SmartLink Connect.

WIRING THE SMARTLINK CONNECT

1 Using the Velcro on the back of the SmartLink Connect, secure the device in the lower right-hand corner. Ensure there is enough space for the wiring.

2 Insert one of the included WHITE pre-cut wires into terminal (1) AC1 | COM on the SmartLink Connect, and the other end to the COM terminal located on the power supply board.

3 Attach the second half of the wire harness (PN 310-122) to the splitter cable (PN 310-120). Ensure pin 1 lines up in both ends. Do not force. Plug the wiring harness into the SmartLink Connect by inserting the BLUE wire into terminal (2) REM and the WHITE wire to terminal (3) REM | AC2.

4 Insert one end of the second included WHITE pre-cut wire into terminal (4) AC2 | 24VAC on the SmartLink Connect, and the other end to the 24VAC terminal on the power supply board.

Note: The SmartLink Connect comes with a jumper loop pre-installed in terminals (5) and (6), which should remain in place unless a wired or wireless rain sensor is being installed.

Note: Terminal (7) FIELD COM is not applicable in 2-wire system installations.

5 Insert one end of the included GREEN ground wire into terminal (8) GND and connect the other end to the system’s EARTH terminal.

6 Route the SL-AIRCARD’s modular cable through the conduit opening at the bottom of the controller and plug it into the modular jack on the SmartLink Connect.

7 Reinstall the panel and power up the controller.

8 The LED on the SmartLink Connect will initially display red, indicating the device is OFF. Slide the switch to the ON position, and the LED will turn green. In order for the SmartLink Connect to communicate with the Aircard the LED must be green.

9 Refer to the Aircard instructions to add the controller to your portfolio.
