Weathermatic Leadership

Mike Mason, CEO
Visionary leader with a background in driving growth of finance, technology, and environmental companies in the private and public sector. Over his 30 years with Weathermatic, Mike has pursued his passion for mentoring young people to help them find purpose in their careers. Mike has contributed his time on the boards of worthy social causes including Freedom Alliance, Living Water International, and the Weathermatic Save Water | Give Life social cause.

Malcolm S. Morris, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Morris is a founding member of Living Water International. In a response to a call from U.S. administration officials, as incoming Chairman of Living Water International, Mr. Morris hosted the Millennium Water Challenge in 2002 to communicate the importance of water in US foreign policy. At the 2002 World Summit for Sustainable Development, then-Secretary of State Colin Powell announced the U.S. commitment to the Goals for Sustainable Development. One goal was to “reduce by half, the proportion of people without access to safe and affordable drinking water and sanitation” by the year 2015.

Lex Mason, President
Since joining Weathermatic in 2015, Lex has progressed through various leadership roles within the company to the President position in 2020. He has been instrumental in the development of the As-A-Service sales and marketing strategy focused on Landscape Contractors and in structuring the overall organization for growth.

Darryl Halbert, COO/CFO
With a 30-year track record of leading public and private companies with global manufacturing operations, Darryl joined Weathermatic in 2015, to optimize operations and finance for long-term growth. He began his career in the audit division of Ernst & Young serving large, multi-national technology and manufacturing clients. He serves on the board of directors for Bonton Farms, an urban farm and community revitalization ministry.

Bill Savelle, Executive Vice President, Products
Industry leading innovator for over 30 years with numerous irrigation industry patents. Bill joined Weathermatic in 2003 and has strategically advanced SmartLink technology to become the largest global network of cloud connected irrigation controllers.

Jared Rice, Executive Vice President
With over 20 years of experience in operational and sales leadership spanning the Green Industry, Facility Services, and Technology sectors, Jared brought his expertise to Weathermatic in 2019. His primary focus has been cultivating high-performing teams and refining operational processes to facilitate long-term growth and scalability. Jared has played a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction, streamlining processes, and nurturing teams to enhance growth, customer support, and overall satisfaction. His contributions have been integral in positioning the company for continued expansion.

Anthony Herrera, Vice President of Strategic Development and People
As the Vice President of Strategic Development and People at Weathermatic, Herrera plays a pivotal role in guiding the 80-year-old manufacturing company towards a high-growth leadership position in climate technology. Leading transformative initiatives, Herrera implements organizational KPIs, fosters accountability, and orchestrates strategic planning to shape Weathermatic into a dynamic, growth-oriented force within the climate technology sector. With over two decades of experience across global organizations like CBRE, KPMG, and Toyota North America, coupled with academic leadership roles at SMU and Baylor University, Herrera brings a wealth of expertise in talent development, leadership coaching, and strategic planning to drive Weathermatic’s success.

Brett Anderson, Vice President, Marketing
Brett oversees Weathermatic’s corporate marketing functions including brand strategy, growth initiatives, communications, digital, trade partnerships, and more. With a wide-ranging background in growth-stage companies, Brett brings an acceleration mindset and a track record of scaling businesses in dynamic environments. Previously, he led a variety of marketing activities at Simpli.fi, a leading advertising technology company, undergoing two ownership changes and several corporate acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he managed B2C and B2B marketing for Etihad Airways, and held roles in marketing and training at Sabre Corporation. Brett holds a B.B.A in Marketing from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.

Ben Mason, Vice President, Sales
Mason has been a driving force behind the growth of the Landscape Maintenance Contractor Division. With a background spanning various roles within the company, Ben brings a wealth of experience and insight to his current position leading the sales team. His strategic approach to sales and leadership has been crucial in expanding Weathermatic’s market presence and supporting its overall success.

Brandon Davis, Vice President of Engineering
Brandon Davis is Vice President of Engineering at Weathermatic, leading the Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams to provide innovative solutions for our customers. Previously Mr. Davis was VP of Engineering at NoiseAware, a provider of privacy-safe monitoring solutions for the short-term rental industry. He has also served as Chief Technology Officer at Lavoro Technologies, a software development company in Houston, TX, delivering standardized software applications that integrate data from the oilfield and deliver executable information to enterprise and backend systems. Mr. Davis was also Chief Software Architect at On Center Software where he led the transition of the company’s software for construction estimating from on-premises to a cloud-based SaaS solution.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Davis worked in software development and testing for Microsoft and Boeing. At ConneXion by Boeing, he worked on mobile Satcom services, writing applications to monitor and diagnose anomalies in global satellite networks. At Microsoft, he was a key contributor to the SQL Server Engine team, working on numerous releases of the product and the cloud-based SQL Azure service.
Mr. Davis has a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Entrepreneurship from Washington State University.
